Right of withdrawal & returns

1. Your right to withdraw

As a consumer resident in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving your order, without giving any reason. This right is granted under the EU Consumer Rights Directive and Articles 6:230o et seq. of the Dutch Civil Code (Burgerlijk Wetboek).

The 14-day withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which you, or a third party other than the carrier indicated by you, acquires physical possession of the goods. If your order consists of multiple items delivered separately, the period starts on the day you receive the last item.

2. How to exercise your right of withdrawal

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision before the 14-day period expires by an unambiguous statement (for example, a letter sent by post or an email).

You can:

  • Email us at info@yvonneactives.com with the subject line “Withdrawal — order [your order number]”; or
  • Use the model withdrawal form in Section 7 below (the interactive form), but this is not obligatory.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient that you send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the 14-day period has expired.

We will confirm receipt of your withdrawal notice by email without undue delay.

3. Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from the contract, we will reimburse you all payments received from you, including the standard delivery costs (with the exception of supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the cheapest type of standard delivery offered by us).

We will carry out the reimbursement no later than 14 days after the day on which we receive the returned goods back, or, if earlier, the day you supply evidence that you have returned the goods.

We will use the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise. In any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.

4. Returning the goods

You must send back or hand over the goods to us without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicated your withdrawal.

Return shipping costs

You bear the direct cost of returning the goods. We recommend using a tracked shipping service, as you are responsible for the goods until we receive them. We are not responsible for items lost or damaged in return transit.

Condition of returned goods

You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods. In practice: you may try on items as you would in a physical shop, but you may not wear them, wash them, remove tags, or use them. If returned goods show signs of use beyond this, we may deduct an amount reflecting the diminished value from your refund.

5. Exceptions to the right of withdrawal

In accordance with Article 6:230p of the Dutch Civil Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to the following:

5.1 Hygiene-sealed items

Sealed goods which are not suitable for return for reasons of health protection or hygiene, once unsealed after delivery. This applies to certain intimate-adjacent activewear sold with a hygiene seal or hygiene sticker, including but not limited to:

  • Sports bras
  • Underwear-style garments (briefs, thongs, bike shorts worn next to skin)
  • Swimwear (where offered)

Once the hygiene seal is broken or removed, the right of withdrawal is forfeited for that item. If the hygiene seal is intact, you may still exercise your right of withdrawal.

5.2 Custom or personalised goods

Goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised (for example, items with custom embroidery or initials).

5.3 Other statutory exceptions

Any other exceptions provided under Article 6:230p BW, including goods that are by their nature inseparably mixed with other items after delivery.

6. Damaged, defective or incorrect items

The right of withdrawal described above is separate from your statutory rights if you receive a product that is damaged, defective, or different from what you ordered. In those cases, you are entitled under Articles 7:17 and 7:21 BW to repair, replacement, a price reduction, or rescission of the contract.

If you receive a damaged, defective or incorrect item, please contact us at info@yvonneactives.com within a reasonable time after discovery, including your order number and photographs of the issue. We will arrange resolution at no cost to you.

7. Start your return

Start your return on our Returns & exchanges page — look up your order, select the item(s) and a reason, and confirm. The same form also serves as your withdrawal notice. Returns are not free: you pay the return shipping cost; your DHL return label is e-mailed once we approve the return. Prefer email? Writing to info@yvonneactives.com is equally valid.
